For Love or Money
- Edinburgh 2025
‘For Love of Money’ was an Arienas Collective initiative, involving the multi-disciplinary artists who form the Collective.
The theme explored the challenge of the artist – do we produce work because we love to do it, or because we need to earn a living. For me, it’s definitely a bit of both!
Through the exhibition I sold a number of pieces as a fundraiser for St Columba's Hospice in Edinburgh. I was delighted to raise over £1,000 for this amazing cause.
At the exhibition I displayed some very personal pieces. They told the story of my journey through my husband Peter’s terminal illness and his passing away at St Columba’s in October 2024.
These pieces generated some meaningful conversations about loss, the challenges we face when bereaved and the impact of grief
on our creativity.
St Columba’s Art Fair
- Edinburgh 2025
I exhibited at St Columba’s Hospice,
as part of their annual Art Fair.
I displayed 3 mobiles, all connected to my reactions and reflections following Peter’s death.

“Administration of Death’ perfectly captures the awfulness of dealing with finances (and other organisations) – all who had different processes to navigate at one of the saddest times of your life.”
“Such a powerful work. My son, who is autistic, hates ‘How Are You’ because he doesn’t know what is expected of him in the answer. Thank you for this moving work.”
