Upcoming Workshops
Learn the art of mosaic making and discover how to use wheeled nippers in this sparkling Christmas-themed half day workshop. You will make a set of gorgeous decorations, perfect for hanging on your tree or giving as unique and special gifts.
There will be lots of colourful materials for you to choose from, including stained glass, vitreous tiles, pieces of broken china and shiny beads. You’ll get all the guidance and help you need to make and grout your creations.
No previous experience needed. Christmassy refreshments will be provided!
Saturday 7th November 2026: 10am – 1pm
Friday 4th December 2026: 10am –1pm
Spend a lovely day making a stunning Christmas wreath, using stained glass, vitreous tiles and glossy embellishments. You’ll learn how to used wheeled nippers – the essential mosaicists tool. You’ll be provided with a laser-cut wreath and all the guidance you need to select your materials, produce your design, and create your masterpiece! You will go away with your completed, grouted wreath having enjoyed a chilled day of mosaic making.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Your are welcome to bring your own lunch, or there are cafes and shops nearby to pick up something tasty.
Previous experience of mosaic making is not needed, but if you have mosaiced in the past you’ll have the opportunity to develop your cutting and design skills.

Make a stunning, unique mosaic mirror in this full day workshop, using lovely reclaimed china. You’ll learn how to safely cut plates and cups using wheeled nippers and apply a ‘crazy paving‘ method to form your pieces into a creation to be proud of!
There will be lots of gorgeous china for you to choose from, or you can bring your own. It’s a great way to re-purpose an old tea set or special broken plate that’s been sitting in the back of the cupboard! I’ll guide you through every stage of the process, including how to grout your finished piece.
If you are confident using a wheeled nipper you may decide to be more adventurous in your design: additional guidance will be provided for anyone at an intermediate level. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day. You are welcome to bring your own lunch, or there are cafes and shops nearby to pick up something tasty.
Friday 20th November 2026: 10am – 4pm
During this fun, half day introductory mosaic workshop you will learn how to mosaic safely, how to cut vitreous (‘swimming pool’) tiles using wheeled nippers and how to grout your creations. I’ll provide you with all the tools, materials and guidance you need to build your confidence and start your mosaicing journey. Refreshments will be provided to keep you going!
You will create two mosaics, a beautiful hanging heart and a handy drinks coaster, learning methods you can do at home. You will take home your two finished mosaic pieces, and maybe even have caught the mosaic bug!

Whether this is the start of your journey into mosaic making, or you are a more experienced mosaic artist, these workshops have a place for you!

Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll gain ideas and inspiration from other group members.

You’ll learn all you need to make your mosaic, but can also ask questions about other aspects of mosaic-making.
I am always on the search for new ideas to bring to my workshops through research and practise from other experts. My goal is to pass these onto you through our time together.

The workshops are a time to step away from the world and focus on creativity in a relaxed, calm environment.
Many of those who come to my workshops talk about how the process is immersive, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable.

All equipment and materials are provided, such as vitreous tiles, stained glass, recycled china, slate and beads, along with lovely refreshments.
My programme changes as I introduce new ideas … many people return time and again to try something new. It’s that much fun!
